Liza is the President of Barnett Wealth Advisors who works alongside with Coastal Wealth Management in Jacksonville, Florida, which she started in 2014. She has been in the securities industry since 1998 and currently holds her series 7 and 63 registrations through LPL Financial and her series 65 license is held with Headland Capital. Seeking an opportunity to develop a truly independent practice to focus solely on the interest of clients above all else, she began her own practice where their laser focus is on investments, financial planning, retirement planning and risk management. Prior to Barnett, she was at MassMutual Financial Group and last served as the Co-Managing Partner of the Jacksonville firm. Liza has held numerous leadership positions in the industry. Most notably as Chairman of MassMutual's Sales Manager Advisory Board and she is the first woman to hold this position in the history of MassMutual, founded in 1851. In 1998, she began her career in the financial services industry with New York Life, where she made partner in 2001.
EDUCATION & PHILANTHROPY
Liza graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is currently on the Board of the Jacksonville History Center and most recently served on the Board of Governors of The Florida Yacht Club serving as President in 2023. Liza also serves on The Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital, is a patron and supporter of The Cummer Museum of Art and past Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club. She is a proud, sixth generation Jacksonville native where her family has been in the banking and financial industry for over 100 years. Liza and her husband reside in Jacksonville with their three children and four grandchildren. They are avid tennis players who also love to travel and spend time with family.
