Pete joined Coastal Wealth Management in November 2024 as Director of Marketing. Reporting directly to Eric Cox, President, he is responsible for increasing firm’s brand and presence within the Charleston community through ownership of all marketing and philanthropic channels to existing and prospective clients.
Prior to joining Coastal, Pete was the Director of Marketing /Advertising Principal of XML Financial Group in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to XML, he was Vice President of Investor Relations at American Capital, in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was responsible for formulating and leading the strategy, management and execution of the investor relations program. Before American Capital, he was a Vice President in Finance at Capital One, in McLean, Virginia, where he spent 12 years in a variety of Finance roles (External Reporting, Strategic Planning, Regulatory and Investor Relations). He started his career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse in Washington, D.C.
EDUCATION & PHILANTHROPY
Pete received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Magna Cum Laude from the University of Delaware in 1990. He earned his CPA® certification in 1992. He has served on various non-profit organization boards in leadership positions and is extremely passionate about financial literacy and education. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and six adult kids, traveling, working out and following the Steelers with his two sons.
